Philip Blong is currently Acting Branch Chief of the Space Warfighting Technologies Branch, Space Vehicles Directorate, Air Force Research Laboratory, Kirtland AFB, NM. Prior to his current position, he served as Strategic Space Control Mission and Portfolio Lead. Additionally, he has served as Lead of Tactics Development for Space Control Technologies. Prior to entering Civilian Service, he served Active Duty USAF leading intelligence wing directorate compliance, administration, readiness, budget, training and recognition programs. Captain Blong received his commission in 2005 as a Distinguished Graduate from the Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps Program at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. He has served as an ICBM Combat Crew Instructor Commander, Flight Commander, Executive Officer, Chief of ICBM Training Scenarios, Space Systems Physicist, Chief of Modeling and Simulation, Branch Chief of the Satellite Assessment Center, RF Engineer for the National Security Agency, and Deputy Lead for Space Cyber Resilience
